Free Consultation and Assessment

To arrange for a free consultation, email us or call 360-331-7441. Our Care Managers will listen to your questions and gather the information needed to make suggestions to meet your needs. With our help, you will decide on an plan that is right for you. We are knowledgeable about other community resources and will refer you to them as needed. A Care Manager will come to your home to complete the Assessment and review your Care Plan.

Our Services

  • Our caregivers help with bathing, personal care, meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping, errands and transportation to medical appointments, protective supervision for those with dementia, medication assistance, hospice care, and most any daily living task that doesn’t require a licensed nurse.
  • Visits can be as short as two hours or as long as 24 hours. Visits can be one time or ongoing.
  • A scheduler and a supervisor are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure quick, effective problem solving.
  • We understand situations often change quickly in homecare. Our Schedulers will adapt your schedule to your changing needs.
  • Starting in February 2011, we will be offering Nurse Delegation Services to clients who need help with wound care, hospice care, or other needs that normally require a licensed nurse
  • We accept payment from: Veterans homecare program, long-term care insurance, Hospice Benefits, Medicaid programs, and private pay

  • Continuously show by his/her behavior that he/she respects and cares about clients, co-workers, and Island Home Nursing
  • Have a clear Criminal Background Check, which is repeated every 2 years
  • Have good references, especially regarding reliability and personal ethics
  • Have good judgment, skills, kindness, and common sense
  • Take and pass a 4 day training program, Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving
  • Pass a yearly Driving Record Check

Veterans Assistance

If you are a veteran or the surviving spouse of a veteran, you may be eligible for a wonderful program that will cover some or all of the cost of our services. The program is part of The Veterans Pension Benefit Program.

If you think you might be eligible, contact us. We will put you in touch with the local Washington representative for the program. If you qualify, we will help in whatever way you need, whether that is filling out paperwork or providing a professional assessment of your needs.
